Nishiyama was a wonderful experience, I would definitely stay there again. The staff was exceedingly friendly and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. When we dropped off our luggage early in the day before we checked in, they were gracious and even had it moved into our room when we came back. We were enamored with the public bath, a good hot soak after a long day of walking was really wonderful. They provided computers in the lobby with free internet access, as well, making it easy to look up last minute plans or stay in touch at home. The rooms were clean and cozy. One thing though, our room did not have hot water at all, though it did have a shower. We didn't mind taking baths downstairs in the public bath, but some people might be put off by it. You can't really experience Japan, though, until you've experienced the good soak
