FROM TOKYO
By Car
1. Take the Chuo Expressway to the Okaya J.C.T, then take Nagano Expressway to the Kosyoku J.C.T and head towards and past Nagano on the Nagano Expressway. The Shinshu Nakano I.C. is the nearest exit. Get off the Shinshu Nakano I.C. and follow signs onto the Shiga Nakano toll road for Shiga Kogen. The toll road runs into Rte 292 for Shiga Kogen.

2. Take the Kanetsu Expressway to the Fujioka J.C.T, then take Nagano Expressway to the Kosyoku J.C.T and head towards past Nagano on the Joshinetsu Expressway. Same as above from Joshinetsu Expressway.
By Train
From Tokyo Sta., take the Nagano Bullet Train (Asama Shinkansen). The bullet rains run regularly throughout the day. Nagano is the last stop of the Nagano Bullet Train. Get off the train at Nagano and take a direct bus to Shiga Kogen. The buses from Nagano to Shiga Kogen also throughout the day in winter season (2-4 buses a day in summer season) Buses depart from the East (Higashi) exit of Nagano Station from bus stop 3 or 4. (Travelling time 70mins. )
FROM NAGOYA
By Car Take the Chuo Expressway to the Okaya J.C.T, then take Nagano Expressway to the Kosyoku J.C.T and head towards and past Nagano on the Nagano Expressway. For the rest, please refer to directions from Tokyo.
By Train
Take the Chuo limited express (Shinano) departs from Nagoya Sta. and travels to Nagano(Nagano is the last stop). Travelling time 3hrs. Nagano Sta. to Shiga Kogen, catch the direct bus depart from the East exit |
